Dr. Javier Ramon awarded Beatriu de Pinós Grant

Dr. Javier Ramón-Azcón has been awarded the Beatriu de Pinós grant from the Agència de Gestió d'Ajuts Universitaris i de Recerca of the Catalan government. These grants are awarded to post-doctoral researchers who wish to join the Catalan system of Science and Technology. The beneficiaries must have spent at least two years in a foreign institute and cannot have resided or carried out their main activity in Spain for more than 12 months in the the last two years prior to the deadline for submission.

Dr. Javier Ramón has joined our group from the WPI Advanced Institute for Materials Research (WPI-AIMR), Tohuku University, Japan, where he was assistant professor to Professor Matsue of the Device Systems Group. His areas of expertise include the development of biosensors and immunoassays, integration of nanotechnology in stem cell research and tissue engineering.
